A Brooklyn Center, MN, College Dedicated to Student Success

Small classes, personal attention and student support

Students come first at GU/MSB-Brooklyn Center. We work hard to provide an environment where they can learn effectively and start rewarding careers. We offer small classes, individual attention and an array of support services that ensure that students never get lost in the crowd. This has been our college’s recipe for success since the founding of Minnesota School of Business in the 1870s.

Hear about us from a graduate

"The staff were wonderful. They were always helpful and cared about my success." -- Dominique Myles, Medical Assistant AAS degree, December 2008 graduate

Promoting student success

The Brooklyn Center campus was the first branch established by Minnesota School of Business.  Our faculty, staff and administrators have been working here for many years.  We know the issues that can affect a student's ability to focus on school.  Out Student Services staff has the resources to help.  If an international student needs a tutor or a single mom needs a referral to a social services agency, we know what to do.

Financial aid is available to qualified students

Most students at our Brooklyn Center campus receive some kind of financial aid. This can take the form of scholarships, grants or loans. We have financial aid representatives who help students find out how to pay for college.

Convenient location and building

Our Brooklyn Center facility is located near the intersection of Highway 100 and Interstate 694, just north of Minneapolis. Students who use public transportation find our campus easy to reach by bus. The facility is handicapped accessible. In addition to small classrooms that promote faculty-student interaction, our campus has:
  •  Commons areas
  •  Library
  • Quiet study areas
  • Public access computers
  • Medical labs

Our students make the difference

Our students are ethnically diverse, representing many countries and cultures. They are diverse in other ways as well, representing all ages and educational levels. More than half attend school part time, taking advantage of our flexible scheduling options. Many have jobs, children and other responsibilities. This rich mix gives our students a taste of the world they will encounter when they graduate. It’s great preparation, and it’s fun.
