Rigorous programs = high-performing employees

Our medical assisting programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon the recommendation of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (AAMAE).  Our massage therapy students are prepared to take the National Certification Therapeutic Massage Body Work Certificate exam.  They are also eligible for licensing through the Federation of State Massage Therapy Board.

Program details

Our health science college degrees and technical diplomas include the following:

  • Health Care Management. This four-year degree program prepares students with the knowledge, analytical skills and work habits required for entry-level positions in health care administration.
  • Massage Therapy. Our massage therapy associate degree and diploma programs provide students with training in a wide range of techniques and modalities. Students also learn business methods and principles that will allow them to manage or own salons or spas effectively. Whether they own businesses or are employed by others, they are able to combine their technical knowledge with their healing touch to help clients deal with stress, anxiety, injury and disease.
  • Medical Administrative Assistant.  These technical diploma and degree programs prepare people to work as administrative assistants in clinics, hospitals and other medical settings.  Graduates are knowledgeable about medical terminology and procedures and are proficient in the office skills necessary to keep a medical organization running smoothly.
  • Medical Assistant. Medical assistants work with physicians to deliver health care to patients.  They are a key part of any medical team.  At GU/MSB-Brooklyn Center, we offer both a two-year degree and a diploma in medical assistant.  Graduates with associate degrees are prepared to take the Certified Medical Assistant exam.
